1. Furbo Dog Camera: Treat Tossing
- Extremely easy to set up
- Supports two way audio
- Can be used anywhere in the world with Wifi
- Lets you toss treats when not home
- Amazing 1080p HD
- Short battery life (3 hours)
- No night vision
The Furbo Dog Camera is a treat tossing camera that lets you feel like you’re at home with your dog while you’re at the office. It essentially allows you to see your dog, toss treats, and engage in two way audio so your dog can hear your voice.
Setting the Furbo up is really simple, and that’s a huge win for beginners. The camera comes with a magnetic base that attaches to the top of a window. You download the app, create an account, and then connect the camera to your WiFi.
The camera also has a built in laser pointer, so you can do the classic laser game to see how your dog reacts. That being said, you have to toss treats to make the laser light come on, and the laser light doesn’t automatically switch on when your dog is around.
2. SereneLife Indoor Wireless IP Camera
The SereneLife Indoor Wireless IP Camera is an excellent product for users who want an inexpensive dog monitor camera. It’s an IP camera with Wi-Fi connection and can be used on mobile devices. You don’t have to be a computer genius to install it, all you have to do is follow the instructions.
This indoor IP camera has a really good design that will make you feel comfortable using it around the house. The image is clear and sharp and because it’s wireless, you can literally put it anywhere you want. The camera also needs just a very simple plugging in to make it work.
The only drawback that customers report is the sound quality, since you have to set it really close to where your dog is. However, with the security of knowing you can check via a mobile app on your phone, many users do not think twice about this inconvenience.
3. Wansview Wireless Security Camera
- Easy to use

- It comes in a variety of styles
- Not full 1080p but 720p HD resolution images & videos

- It needs a WiFi connection to work
The Wansview Wireless Security Camera, WiFi Home Monitor Surveillance Camera for Baby/Elder Care/Nanny Monitor, Pan/Tilt, Two-Way Audio & Night Vision Q3 is my top pick as it has a lot of functions and it’s easy to use for homeowners.
You can view the video directly on your smartphone, laptop, or tablet after you install the app. This camera also has a motion sensor and night vision, which means you can see what’s going on in your home even in the dark.
This model gives you the option of setting schedules, and you can connect it with other Wansview models for better coverage. The app also lets you talk to the person you’re monitoring. The best part is that you can also do this wirelessly.
4. Google Nest Cam Indoor Wired Home Security Camera 24/7 live video
- Google Nest Cam:
Tthere are two types of dog cameras: wireless and corded. Wireless cameras transmit images or video to a receiver or set-top device such as a television or smartphone. The advantage of these cameras is they can be used easily and moved around the house as needed. However, they tend to be more expensive and the batteries may need to be replaced periodically.
Corded cameras are connected directly to a PC or other viewing device and the cord becomes a limitation. Their advantage is the price and the ability to be used in areas further from a power outlet.
The Nest Cam Indoor is a better wireless dog monitor camera and doesn’t require a subscription. Even better, this camera is Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa enabled. Meaning you can speak to it with your voice and it will send you alerts and allow you to speak back to it.
5. TENVIS Security Camera

7. Blink XT Home Security Camera System
- Easy to set up
- Straightforward companion app
- Innovative cloud recording
- Night vision
- Short battery life
- Plastic build
The Blink XT is among the best wireless home camera systems we’ve tested and among the most affordable of the bunch as well. This three piece security camera system contains everything you need to get an outstanding home monitoring experience right out of the box.
The Blink XT camera system is made up of three main components, the hub, the sensors, and the cameras themselves. The hub is the brains and ensures the system functions properly. The sensors are the pieces that go on windows or doors. The cameras offer a clear and completely wireless view of your home from anywhere with an internet connection.
In order to connect the cameras to power, Blink suggests using the included power supply or an external battery pack. The four lithium ion batteries included with the cameras should last one year, if you use the cameras for four hours a day. Just be aware that if the power goes out in your home, the cameras will stop functioning as soon as the batteries die. If you use an external power supply to extend the battery life of the cameras, they will keep recording during power outages.
8. Pawbo Life Pet Camera: WiFi HD Video
- Easy to set up/ Use
- Nice eco-friendly packaging and instructions
- Slightly bigger screen
- Treat dispenser
- Treats work better than most
- Laser pointer
- Good range
- Not huge
- Good night vision
- Very heavy
- Rather heavy
- A little flimsy
This is an interesting product; it’s basically a doghouse for animals. The hard plastic is not as easy to chew on as some of the other items on here, so this is a bit suitable for an older dog who is less prone to chewing on things. Also, I would personally say it’s better if you have a dog that likes to remain in one place.

The Petzi is a great Pet Monitor. You just attach it to your pet’s collar and connect it to the app. The app is easy to use and the video quality is really good. The camera/treat dispenser works pretty much as intended.
Installation was a breeze. We put the Petzi right next to our dog’s food bowl. You just open the dispenser, put a treat in, and close it. Using the app, you can control the feeder easily. With a single push the camera comes on and it starts recording. A second push will turn the camera off (your phone will also have the option to stop recording the video after it finishes). The Petzi has motion detection and the camera will automatically start recording when there is a movement detected.
It has an IR light that allows it to see in the dark, but I haven’t used it in the dark yet. Finally, a mood light that I think is kind of cool, but not sure if my dog cares about it. I don’t know why this wasn’t activated in the app itself.
